Registration and Attendance Policies
To help our classes run smoothly and provide the best experience for our families and teachers, we kindly ask that everyone follow the guidelines below:
Registration Required
All children must be registered before attending class. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate drop-ins or unregistered students, as our teachers plan lessons and prepare materials based on enrollment numbers.
Age Requirements
Children must meet the minimum listed age requirements for each class. Our teachers carefully design activities and lessons based on developmental stages, and keeping classes within the intended age range helps ensure a positive experience for all students.
Session Commitment
If you already know that your family will miss more than two weeks of a session, we kindly ask that you wait to join the next session rather than registering for the current one. We would love to have you participate in one of our add-on or drop-in classes in the meantime.
Absence Notifications
Whenever possible, please let us know in advance if your child will be missing class by sending a text or email. While we understand that unexpected situations arise, advance notice is extremely helpful for planning purposes.
Why These Policies Matter
Our teachers spend a significant amount of time preparing lessons tailored to the ages and needs of the children enrolled. Having a relatively accurate headcount each week allows them to plan appropriately and provide the best possible experience for everyone.
Additionally, many of our classes are funded and supplied by us, and we purchase materials based on enrollment and expected attendance. Your cooperation helps us manage resources responsibly and makes it possible for us to continue offering these classes in the future.
Most importantly, we are working to build the consistent, supportive community that so many families are seeking. Regular attendance and clear communication help create meaningful connections among students, families, and teachers, setting everyone up for success.
Thank you for your understanding, support, and partnership in making our homeschool community a wonderful place to learn and grow!
Privacy Policy - the basics
Having said that, a privacy policy is a statement that discloses some or all of the ways a website collects, uses, discloses, processes, and manages the data of its visitors and customers. It usually also includes a statement regarding the website’s commitment to protecting its visitors’ or customers’ privacy, and an explanation about the different mechanisms the website is implementing in order to protect privacy.
Different jurisdictions have different legal obligations of what must be included in a Privacy Policy. You are responsible to make sure you are following the relevant legislation to your activities and location.
What to include in the Privacy Policy
Generally speaking, a Privacy Policy often addresses these types of issues: the types of information the website is collecting and the manner in which it collects the data; an explanation about why is the website collecting these types of information; what are the website’s practices on sharing the information with third parties; ways in which your visitors and customers can exercise their rights according to the relevant privacy legislation; the specific practices regarding minors’ data collection; and much, much more.
